O Master!
Thou art the real goal of human life.
We are yet but slaves of wishes
putting bar to our advancement.
Thou art the only God and power
to bring us up to that stage.
Prayers are always answered, no matter whosoever performs it. Irrespective of the cast, creed, color, region, religion, doctrine and sect, the prayers are supposed to bring results and so far none of religions or groups has reported that their prayers are not answered.
A Hindu will say that the concept of Muslim God is not correct; a Muslim will say the concept of Christian God is faulty; a Jew will say that, Hindus have false Gods or Deities; a Shinto will say Muslims have only one God and so on. Every religion has at least one God who is entirely different from the God(s) of the other religion. But the prayers are still answered.
Why is it so?
Is God irrelevant to the prayers?
Does prayer not change the mind of the God?
Then, what is the secret?
The secret is that the prayer changes the one who prays!
God is just a justification, a device. The real thing is that when you are praying, you are not the same person.
This was about the prayers which everybody performs. To be continued in next post.
In Sahaj Marg the prayer is simplified to be understood by anyone. So simple as it requires almost no intellect to understand it.
Thou art the real goal of human life
A basic fact, the ultimate reality, the first step and the last, to which all goals eventually lead to.
Thou Art – You are, the initial and the ultimate, the beginning, the end and the all which is in between. The first and the last! So nothing else is left, what else could be the Goal of a human? Whatsoever a human aims for is Him, be it initial or ultimate. All goals end up to him like rivers merging into the sea.
After the utterance of the first verse human’s ego level changes and it impacts the whole psychology for a moment.
We are yet but slaves of wishes
Another truth which is known by each one of us. Deep down in our hearts, we know this fact that what actually we work for; what has enslaved us. But, we try and keep on ignoring this fact, we keep repressing it and keep working towards our wishes that are meaningless, ludicrous and silly have enslaved us.
The second verse which brings the equally important aspect as the first verse, brings our thoughts towards the meaninglessness of our wishes and our conditions. This verse brings our attention towards our slavery and challenges our egos. A human psychology of challenge is leveraged. When you challenge anybody, his actions become more intensive and result oriented. Similarly, here also when a person’s ego is challenged that he is enslaved by wishes, he would stand against it and combat with it. The prayer has initiated its job inside you. Something is triggered internally, something is stood against these silly wishes, something internal has declared a war against them. To fight with them, kill them and annihilate them.
Once this process is initiated, you are no more the same person. You have changed. Something has changed inside you. You will start feeling unrestricted, unobstructed and free. When the freedom walks in, you feel more relaxed, more calm and become more serene. You have lifted all the restrictions which you were laden with. You are free of all those loads. Now you are changed. Changed to obtain, to accept, to receive. You became receptive. You have eliminated the things restricting you and removed hurdles in the way between you and God. Now you have removed those obstacles between you and God. You have allowed you to receive help from God. And, you have allowed God to help you. And, now you ready to receive.
Putting bar to our advancement
The silly, meaningless an futile wishes are the hindrances, restrictions and borders which do not allow ourselves to put forward a step. A problem is realized, a problem is identified, a problem is acknowledged. It is said that, half the job is done when the problem is diagnosed.
This is the middle verse of the prayer.
You are exactly in the middle of the prayer and half the job is already done. See the wisdom, the intellect and the mathematics behind it -- Master has exactitude.
Thou art the only God and power
The word ‘only’ is doing a miracle here. The only means the one, the one means no other, no-thing else, nothing else, nothing else means no clutter in between you and the ultimate source of power.
Here you are brought closer to the source of the infinite positive energy, the immeasurable power and the unlimited influence. This will attract you.
To bring us up to that stage.
At last, at this juncture, at this stage, You are humble, meek and insignificant, without any ego, without any meaningless desires, without anything in the way between you and God. And, you are in front of the enormous source of power with readiness within you to receive.
All these signs are the signs of immergence, But, the complete immergence will happen only when there is absolute nothingness in the way between you and God, No clutter of futile desires, no barriers of shear ego and absolute readiness to receive.
This is possible only if we perform the cleaning, more we clean, the more closer we reach, the more closer we reach, the more distances He will reduce. And this process will eventually lead to the merger which is the greatest state of mind and the greatest stage of soul. And, the great event of being.
On the prayers of the worldly attainments:On Non Sahaj Margi prayers, I would like to mention again that the prayers are always answered, if performed.
The ordinary people continuously doubt. They doubt their skills, they doubt their intellect, they doubt their intuitions. While in prayer, their doubts are dropped and the mind is relaxed, the gestalt psychology in them changes tremendously and they start trusting. The ordinary people always think negatively but in prayers, the negativity is changed towards the positivity.
The ordinary mind is always wishing for worldly attainments, accumulations, they are desiring, hankering, fantasizing in the future; in prayer the fantasies disappear, hence their minds are pulled from future to the present, to this utterly moment. This moment becomes their totality, and in that very totality something happens, a door that was closed has opened.
